This one is funny
Children often ask their parents for money to buy things. On this day, the child asked his father for money again.
The child said: Dad, give me fifty cents. I want to buy something to eat.
Dad said: You are 10 years old and have grown up. Yesterday you asked for 50 cents, today you want 50 cents, and tomorrow you want 50 cents. Isn’t that good? Do older kids do this?
The child thought for a while and said: Dad, you are right, this is not good. I am an older child, so give me five yuan today!
Thank you! I used this to see if I was correct!
Zhao in this context is ask, maybe is better change de definitions
its true
thanks for your update. just change the meaning to “ask; request”
somehow doesn’t sound right to use 找 in the context of asking for/requesting money. Most dictionaries do include “ask for” in one of the meanings of 找… but in the context of “looking for” / “asking for” a person. When 找 & 钱 (money) goes together, it refers to exchanging notes for coins or the change that’s to be returned to the payer.
can only think of 要求 for request but cannot see how it fits into the sentence. is there another appropriate character?
btw, that’s smart 10 year old LOL
会好了
